01 / Collect
What we collect right now
Today, Overlap is in early access. If you join the waitlist, the only thing we store is the email address you enter, and the date you joined.
Later, when the product opens, you’ll be able to create a profile. Everything in it — your schools, companies, cities, interests — is information you type in yourself. We never scrape LinkedIn, buy data, or import from other platforms.
02 / Why
Why we collect it
Your waitlist email is used for one thing: to send you your invite when a spot opens, plus the occasional important update about the launch. That’s it. No marketing blasts, no selling your address.
03 / Never
What we never do
We don’t sell, rent, or share your information with advertisers or data brokers — ever. Your data exists to help you find warm connections, not to be monetized.
04 / Control
Your control
You can ask to be removed from the waitlist at any time and we’ll delete your email, typically within 30 days. When the full product launches, you’ll be able to set what’s visible, hide fields, or delete your account and all its data outright.
05 / Storage
Where it lives
Your data is stored in a secure, managed database. We use trusted infrastructure providers (such as our hosting and database services) to run Overlap, and we share data with them only as needed to operate the service.
